Recalling ‘Mission Accomplished’

May 1, 2007

If an employee embarked on a major initiative without planning for the long run, misrepresented important facts and made ruinous miscalculations, that employee would be fired, along with his management team. Marianne  Gabel Delaware, Ohio, Time Magazine, Oct.  27, 2003.

Richard Nixon was forced to resign after he lied about Watergate. Now it appears that Bush misled us about the reasons for attacking Iraq. Impeachment proceedings should have begun. Why must U.S. troops remain as an occupying force in Iraq? Is this another Vietnam? Fred Bushnell, Pfalzgrafenweiler, Germany, Time Magazine, Oct. 27, 2003.

notalib said, “You people on the left just grasp at straws in order to get your hate out about Bush. I understand there is now a recovery program for what you all are suffering from – BDS -Bush Derangement syndrome.”

This coming from a person who’s incorporated the word “lib”, his sworn enemy, into his screen name.

How do these people even type through all that drool?

Well Mary if the Dems want any kind of say in what is going to happen in Iraq they are going to need to sit down and talk to the president. They will have to remove any surrender date and they will have to understand that the President not them have the final say as to what is going to happen. Once that is clear as mud then things will get moving. Until then all the dems can do is continue with the photo ops with the9ir hot air rhetoric to appease the far left extremist of the democrat party.

Do You know who the last President was to attend a soldiers funeral? Then which soldier does he pick to attend? You people on the left just grasp at straws in order to get your hate out about Bush. I understand there is now a recovery program for what you all are suffering from – BDS -Bush Derangement syndrome.

So PLEASE tell me how should he select which funeral to attend, and who was the last president to attend one.

I guess both Bush and Notalib are bonkers… The Democrats are pushing Bush to the wall. They aren’t (I hope) going to let him get away with “simply vetoing the bill.”
And how DARE HE say something to the effect, “we have to sit down and talk about this.” Humpph!

    Morally bankrupt?

A President lies to the nation about the reasons to go to war, fails to supply the troops with protective gear, cares not at all about the feelings of the nation in regards to a failed policy, and never has been to one of the nearly 3,400 military funerals and you have the gall to write about morals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Are you touched?

Democrats in congress were playing a game. They knew he was not going to sign a bill that is full of pork and has surrender dates in it. Harry White Flag Reid And Queen Pelosi are shameful hacks for far left extremist and what they did yesterday was a shameful stunt by a party that is morally bankrupt.

And now he vetoed the funding bill from Congress to end the war… I’m afraid he’s crazy…
