There is just no way that Sarah Palin can claim the high ground on the issue of earmarks, as the facts are just so damming when her record, short as it is, comes under review. Either you try to get earmarks, or you do not. There is no middle ground, even as she tries to build one.

No, her claims to be a ‘reformer’ are not true, based on her record. Period.
The way Sarah sees it, what are truly earmarks are those things that the elected officials waste money on without any regards to what the people truly want. Her point in the interview was that she was in touch with the people — and call it what you want, she was giving the people what they were asking for. It was no secret! The proof of her honesty lies in her approval rating of over 80% which no other governor can claim!
