Glenn Beck Leaving CNN
I never understood how Glenn Beck landed a job at CNN. He does not exhibit the broadminded views that most CNN viewers hope to watch on cable news television. His harsh and strident tones made him a face we now flip over if channel surfing, as he is no longer welcome in our home. And that is exactly how these personalities should be considered, either guests to be in our living room, or ones to be banished. Glenn Beck has long been persona non grata here.
So it is most welcome news to hear that Glenn Beck is no longer to appear on CNN starting in 2009.
Would you find it hard to believe that his brand of show has been picked up by FAUX News? Birds of a feather…..
When Beck pulled the following crap we pulled his right to be in our home.
The New York Times (12/4/06), profiling new CNN Headline News host Glenn Beck, called him “brash” and “opinionated,” with an “unfiltered approach.” The conservative talk-radio host-turned-cable news announcer, the paper reported, “takes credit for saying what others are feeling but are afraid to say.”
The Times mentioned one of the things Beck has said recently, to newly elected U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), a Muslim: “Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.”
Bye, bye Glenn.

CNN was much better when Ted Turner was running it. The man was a little loco, yes, but at least it was somewhat balanced. YAWN.. Glenn Beck going to FoxNews was about as interesing as Olbermann going to MSNBC. Soon all cable news operations will become walls. Either expressing a conservative or liberal point of view. No balance – instead propaganda mechanisms.
I watched CNN religously
Beck was the only balancing act that CNN dared to allow.
The left wing bias CNN promotes is unnerving and unabashed.
Funny that he is no longer there to give an opposing view on the Communist News Network’s just prior to the election.
I agree about Jan. not coming soon enough…..no more Bush!
My husband and I were so sad to see Glenn Beck is not longer on CNN…it was the only show we watched on CNN. We are thrilled to know he is moving to FOX News…January cannot come soon enough. You go Glenn!!
Some people just can’t handle the truth or shuld I say don’t want to hear it (in their home).
The CNN guys are going down the tubes like the stock market… They took Glenn Beck off the air and now lost a customer… He was the only thing going for that network and I looked foward to hearing his unbiased views and points… I guess he pissed some one off that really can’t take criticism.. Oh well CNN(crappy,no-news,network) loss FOX’s GAIN…
I love Glenn Beck and I also agree that CNN is really taking a strong left turn these days. I can’t stand to watch it anymore. It’s so obsurdly obvious! Good for you Glenn!!!
Funny how if you don’t agree with someone you say they are not broadminded. Sort of sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.
Now stand in line and march with your blinders on.
I was always surprised that Beck wasted his talent on such a far left leaning network. It is good to see him moving on where he will reach a much larger audience and one that is able to think outside the box that progressives try to keep you in.
I use to watch CNNHN all the time for news but once they decided to go even further to the left and started to slant their news coverage to pander to the MSnbc mentality I found it almost unbearable to watch. That is sad to see.
just a little tease from the report…you know, you should really do your research…..it should be required of anyone with a blog.
“CNN once enjoyed one of the most prestigious and lucrative brand franchises in the history of broadcasting: global news leader. Its longstanding monopoly on 24 hour cable news stood it in good stead, and generated both profits and political clout for parent Time—Warner. This precious corporate crown jewel was squandered by ideologues who put their personal politics above the interests of the shareholders.
The left wing political obsessions of both CNN’s top management and much of the rank—and—file staff (in front of and behind the cameras) created an opportunity obvious to visionaries like Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch of News Corporation, the parent of Fox News. They are now reaping the benefits, financial and otherwise, of counter—programming to the obvious (to all but liberals) bias of CNN.
