“There Will Be Children Again In The White House”

Words fail me at this late hour, but the emotion of the truly historic election that placed Barack Obama in the White House is one that I will never forget.  Those gathered in our home for the evening were watching NBC when Tom Brokaw made the announcement.  It was simple, and it brought tears to the eyes.  “There will be children again in the White House.”  What a perfect way to say what America needed to hear.

We all come to this moment in our national drama by different routes and purposes.  One of the ladies at our election gathering was 86 years old, and marched for civil rights in Mississippi in the 1960’s.  She was one of the famed WWII riveters, and can recall more history than many will ever live.  The pride that she exhibited over this moment in our nation was so wonderful for all of us to see and hear as the evening progressed.

As Barack Obama won the election we toasted the moment with a bottle of champagne that had been bought for the 2004 Democratic ‘win’ that John Kerry failed to produce.  As we all stood and clinked glasses to the ‘dawning of a new day in America’ we smiled, laughed, and some took off eyeglasses to wipe wet eyes.

“It is as if we can finally breathe again,” a 43-year-old college student and neighbor said, and then added that there is much work to be done to restore what has been destroyed due to war and economic mismanagement.  But he was hopeful.  We all are.

That hope for change was the core of the Obama movement that brought us to this point.  It is not a small thing to witness the power of a dream, or the impact a dreamer can have on a nation.  I dare say that Americans everywhere had a tingle when we watched our new President and his family march onto the stage in Chicago.  Without words his image alone said that greatness is ours to have again.

The speech that Obama made was stirring and meaningful.  For me one of the top reasons I supported Obama is the need to change the way that we relate and work with the world.  So I clapped loudly when I heard these words.

And to all those watching tonight from beyond our shores, from parliaments and palaces to those who are huddled around radios in the forgotten corners of our world – our stories are singular, but our destiny is shared, and a new dawn of American leadership is at hand. To those who would tear this world down – we will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security – we support you. And to all those who have wondered if America’s beacon still burns as bright – tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from our the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope.

Let the work begin.

Keep on hoping but I guarantee the fecal matter will hit the fan after inauguration day. Remember that 9/11 happened the same year that “Dubya” was inaugurated. There is always some crisis that happens right after a new president is elected, look at your history books and you will see this “trend”. That is all the proof you need to essentially foresee a possible future “terrorist event”, albeit a false flag one.

Obama’s VP Joe Biden said there would be an international crisis to test the mettle of Obama, you’ve seen the commercials about that, and it was on the news nationally prior to the McCain ads, so it was not something McCain just made up.

Colin Powell knows something will happen sometime around the 21st or 22nd of January, the days right after election day, he stated this on Meet the Press recently, and I quote:

“The problems will always be there, and there’s going to be a crisis come along in the 21st or 22nd of January that we don’t even know about right now.”

here is the link to that transcript on MSNBC http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27266223/

Keep in mind that Colin Powell endorsed Obama.

And Trilateral Commission co-founder and top Obama advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski has also stated this on CNN only days ago (see links) http://www.infowars.com/?p=5708

So be prepared. Keep this in the back of your mind so that when the big event does happen and it’s all over the news, you will see that Obama is being set up!!!

    I write today from France.

I hope the best is coming, and the worse is behind you…
It will not obviously solve the crisis just like that, but it can help, even here.
If it could give better ideas to Sarko, it wouldn’t be bad at all.
But if hope is always allowed, it’s not yet time to dream… ;-)

    Hi Ho Ferrell Gummitt here.

Well President Obama is the man now. Some things to look forward to:

With a majority in the Congress and Supreme Court appointeess President Obama’s term may well lift all restrictions on abortion (parental consent, late term/partial birth), severely restrict Second Amendment rights, pass the “Fairness Doctrine”, destroy the meaning of traditional marriage, tax our economy into oblivion to pay for all of his rosey cradle to the grave socialist campaign promises, and push us further toward a society in which people rely far too much on government assistance than what we can afford and still remain economically potent.

May God have mercy on us all..

Wow, what an amazing way to put it. There WILL be children in the white house again. That’s simply fantastic. I can’t believe this day actually came. It’s overwhelming.

Sadly the election of Obama will change the dollars
strength. I’ll reserve my judgement on
whether that is for good or bad and
see how the next few months unfold.
    :)

With a democratic president in office, those of us in Dane County with republican leanings officially have no representation in any branch of the government – U.S. Rep., Senate, Governor, and now president. I have not heard anything in the past few months that makes me feel confident that the new president cares about anyone who does not share his beliefs and views on the world. More importantly, I am not convinced that he loves America. I am afraid for this country.
