Help Coloma Get Matching Funding For Wisconsin Public Radio Station…12/31/09 Deadline
Readers know that I have applauded the decision to place a Wisconsin Public Radio station in Coloma, Wisconsin. This latest expansion of the radio network will help those in the Coloma area receive the needed radio signal. Today I received the latest update and request from WPR, and urge my readers to contribute. Having grown up in Hancock (see banner of blog for old picture of my hometown) I can attest to the need for this station, and know full well that this station will provide valuable programing.
Hey, thought I’d let you know we are just $9,000 shy of reaching the Mead Witter match to fund the station – only three days left before the 12/31/09 deadline. You readers can pledge online at http://www.wpr.org/whaa. Thanks for your support!

We made the match goal! Thank you to all who contributed to this project. 89.1 WHAA is now fully funded. I’ll keep you posted when we’re ready to flip the switch.
Thanks again,
