Muslim Extremists Neuter South Park, All Should Denounce This Censorship
The censorship of South Park for the sake of not making some elements of the extreme Islamic faith angry is just wrong. Worse it is dangerous as it undermines the foundations of the modern world that should understand the role freedom of expression plays in our day-to-day life.. There are places and times to poke fun at everything, and that includes Islam. South Park is a most creative and edgy show that has tackled all sorts of social issues over the years. (I have no problem admitting I love Cartman.) So to have the show dealing with Mohammad censored and bleeped this week, and then not even allowed to be viewed online is well…..a disservice to the very ideals we propose that other nations adopt and live by. We all should be ashamed that censorship was allowed for a comedy show dealing with a religion. Without a notion of modernity, nor the ability to relate or interact with the world filled with varying ideas and attitudes, the extreme Islamic element will always be behind the rest of the world. We should be mindful that the vast majority of the Islamic faithful are not the type to place death threats on web sites to those who pick on Mohammad. To allow those who do make such postings any control at Comedy Central is a travesty.
I think this South Park controversy is a classic example of the way those who can’t adjust in the world rant and rave, but those who live in pluralistic societies bend and give in when instead they should stand firm for the larger ideal. To allow censorship of the Mohammad episode allows for the triumph of those who can’t accept that the world is not going back to the 6th century. While every other religion can be spoofed on South Park, even Jesus has a role at times as a talk show host. we somehow coddle that element of Islam that can not understand the way the world operates. There is no reason to cave in on the principles that much of the world lives by to placate that insane minority that can not see the wisdom of freedom of thought and expression as demonstrated on the South Park episode.
An episode of “South Park” that continued a story line involving the Prophet Muhammad was shown Wednesday night on Comedy Central with audio bleeps and image blocks reading “CENSORED” after a Muslim group warned the show’s creators that they could face violence for depicting that holy Islamic prophet. Revolution Muslim, a group based in New York, wrote on its Web site that the “South Park” creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker “will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh” for an episode shown last week in which a character said to be the Prophet Muhammad was seen wearing a bear costume. Mr. Van Gogh was slain in Amsterdam in 2004 after making a film that discussed the abuse of Muslim women in some Islamic societies.
The new episode of “South Park” on Wednesday night tried to revisit this character, but with the name and depiction of the character blocked out. It was unclear how much of the bleeping was Mr. Stone and Mr. Parker’s decision. In a message posted on their Web site, SouthParkStudios.com, they wrote that they could not immediately stream the new episode on the site because:
After we delivered the show, and prior to broadcast, Comedy Central placed numerous additional audio bleeps throughout the episode. We do not have network approval to stream our original version of the show.
On Thursday morning, a spokesman for Comedy Central confirmed that the network had added more bleeps to the episode than were in the cut delivered by South Park Studios, and that it was not giving permission for the episode to run on the studio’s Web site.
Amazing how, once again, the peacefull, loving nature of the largest religion in the world, has found the time to threaten with DEATH, one of the most famous COMEDY shows on TV today.
Not so amazing that some corporate wimp made a decsion to bow to this pressure and CENSOR one of its best episodes.
I think, as usual, these corporate masterminds forget that our U.S. troop are serving and dying to show people in these very MUSLIM nations, that CENCORSHIP cannot be tolerated any longer. It only leads to women being beaten for not having dinner ready on time, or not FEELING like having sex with the very moron who beats them. It also leads to no education for women and the very ignorant one minded view of the world that causes the TALIBAN and other worldly nut cases who feel that this is all very natural and are willing to KILL ALL OF US to prove it.
Face it RELIGION OF EVERY TYPE KILLS PEOPLE!!! Saddly, it is the nature of people to be led around by the nose and told what to believe by some child molester or other religious figure head. They are also willing to believe that there is a GOD who will save a place at the table for you if you bow down to them, send them all your money, and spend your Sundays (and generally many other days of the week) BEGGING for his help and FORGIVENESS.
It also very strange how these same people know that the PENALTY for NOT DOING SO, is ETERNAL DAMNATION, ROASTING ON AN OPEN FIRE, WHILE BEING SCREWED WITH BY DEAMONIC SPIRITS, F..O..R..E..V..E..R!!!
It doesn’t surprise me that Comedy Central would bow to the pressure put on them by the MUSLIM EXTREMISTS that did it this time. What does surprise me is that in these days of HDTV, 3D TV, Satallite TV, Instant and E mail, that thes morons haven’t been able to locate the fucking OFF BUTTON or the one that says CHANNEL. Either one will save them from the horrid death that awaits them for viewing such vile infidel crap.
If anything, Comedy Central should have pointed to the opening of the show that clearly tells people they probably shouldn’t even be watching the show. It is a shame they bowed to a group of nut cases who will now stop at nothing to GUIDE them to the PROPER way to have a decent show. Imagine, SOUTHPARK, written and then shown to the very limited veiwership that will be allowed to see it, under their form of religious NON-freedom.
WHAT A STUPID THING TO DO! While we are at it though, how about I claim to want you dead if you don’t change the name of the show to Lakeside, which is where I live, if you don’t stop offending me by calling the show SOUTHPARK because it offends the people who originally settled the town?
More importantly is the question, ‘WHAT DO YOU BOW TO NEXT?” Comedy Central, you need to apologize to the FANS of the show that you have turned your back on. These are the people that have kept the show on the air this long. Not the idiots that look at this 30 minute relief from the real world bullcrap that is spouted at you all day.
To these very idiots, “IT’S A F—ING JOKE! RELAX, HAVE A BEER, SMOKE SOME OF THAT OPIUM YOUR KNOW FOR, and either GET IT or GET THE F–K OUT!!!!

It is time we stop giving in to this sort of typical Muslim hate–real hate.
According to some reliable sources; ALL Muslims, not just extremists, believe that their faith is the only truth, and that all others should be eliminated. I have no solution to this problem. None of the Muslims I know have tried to kill me, but that might be because of societal pressure.
I thank ( God? ) that most of the huge populations are separated by great distances, or we would all be fighting all the time.
