What If Teabaggers Were All Black?
This is a riot! Hat Tip To Dan Savage’s The Slog. You have to click the link and read the whole thing. It is one of the best reads in days that I have run across.
Imagine that hundreds of black protesters were to descend upon Washington DC and Northern Virginia, just a few miles from the Capitol and White House, armed with AK-47s, assorted handguns, and ammunition. And imagine that some of these protesters – the black protesters – spoke of the need for political revolution, and possibly even armed conflict in the event that laws they didn’t like were enforced by the government? Would these protesters — these black protesters with guns — be seen as brave defenders of the Second Amendment, or would they be viewed by most whites as a danger to the republic? What if they were Arab-Americans? Because, after all, that’s what happened recently when white gun enthusiasts descended upon the nation’s capital, arms in hand, and verbally announced their readiness to make war on the country’s political leaders if the need arose.
Imagine that white members of Congress, while walking to work, were surrounded by thousands of angry black people, one of whom proceeded to spit on one of those congressmen for not voting the way the black demonstrators desired. Would the protesters be seen as merely patriotic Americans voicing their opinions, or as an angry, potentially violent, and even insurrectionary mob? After all, this is what white Tea Party protesters did recently in Washington.
You seemed to have missed the humor in the article, and also the larger and more important message.
If teabaggers are upset with one black man in the White House how about a whole party of black people…..or Arabs…….
I also am amused when the fact is raised that the teabaggers are a white organization. It is then that someone…like in your comment….will find a black person who is a self-proclaimed member. It is like someone saying I am not a racist as I own a Sammy Davis, Jr. album.
The fact is that the Tea Party is a white party. Think about it. Teabaggers are a spin off of the GOP that is, majority speaking, a white party. If you have a splinter group of the GOP it will be even more white.
Like one of the tea folks might say, “Them is the facts.”
The progressives and leftists have no answers so they use the default position of racism. If you have no answer, demonize and label your opposition.

Gee I guess the MSM must have missed him.
Second, Andrew Breitbart put up a $100,000 donation to the UNCF saying if anyone has any kind of evidence, a video or sound bite that Representatives Carson and Lewis were called the N-word on March 20th. No one has come forward to this date.
The Left continues to pay attention to the skin color — and gender (not just “whites” but “white males”) — of the tea partiers rather than to their ideas.
One would hope that all people would assess ideas by their moral rightness or wrongness, not by the race, gender or class of those who hold them.
