Robert Byrd: A Fiddlin’ Senator

In July 2009 I posted these words along with a video about Senator Robert Byrd.
I would rather use this now while he is alive, then in a tribute to the man down the road. As you will see there is a real fiddler inside this Senator. Or should I say there is a Senator inside this fiddler?
This morning Senator Byrd died, and I want to post this again in memory of an amazing politician, and musician.

As a Senator who became a fighter for civil rights, Byrd had high rankings from the NAACP.
The power of redemption is a mighty thing. When one turns from the dark side all things are possible.
Lets not forget his great skill of being a leader in the KKK.
