Tea Party Gives Up Fight For GOP Leadership Job

November 10, 2010

Wonder which little bird told Bachmann to be quiet.  There was no way that someone as fringy as Bachmann was ever going to get elected Conference Chair.

From POLITICO Breaking News…

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn) has dropped out of the race for Republican Conference Chair, clearing the way for Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas), to take the leadership job. Bachmann’s decision means there will be no competition for any of the top Republican leadership jobs as the GOP takes control of the House.

This also means traditional establishment Republicans have not allowed the Tea Party any seats at the leadership table.

I am pleased.
