Here’s a little refresher: Moore is the former chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court perhaps best known for refusing to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the state courthouse. In Nov. 2003, he was removed from office for his refusing to remove the monument.
The latest: Moore on Monday said he is is forming an exploratory committee for a possible presidential run.
Former Alabama made the announcement Monday on an Iowa radio station. He said he would immediately begin a weeklong tour of Iowa. January’s Iowa Caucuses will be the first test for 2012 candidates.
In a release that he is concerned about what he called the country’s moral, economic and constitutional crisis.
