Have Your Say About EnLighten Channel On Sirius/XM Radio Ending May 4th

If you like EnLighten, the southern gospel music station on Sirius/XM, and want to have your say about the end of this broadcast station on the radio……..here is what you need to do. If you like to hear this station in the car as I do then the following information should be taken and used.
Granted, there is very little that can be done to reverse this decision at Sirius/XM. Yet I always think it is important to let broadcasters know the concerns and likes of the listening public. Even when the odds seem all too high….so here is what you need to do.
Next Tuesday, May 3, Sirius/XM will be removing enLighten from their satellite service and from Dish TV. It will remain, but as an online-only channel. If you are a Sirius/XM subscriber and want to see Southern Gospel still represented, let them know here:

I love southern gospel music. I also like to listen to other types of christian music. I was chocked one day when it was not there. There are lots of differnt rock, jazz, blues, special stations like Elvis Bruce Springsteen,
BB King ect… so why was this station taken off. Even though it may not be the most popular in the main stream of the US, there are still millions of people that like southern gospel music. Thanks for making it available.
I have been in the hospital and could hardly wait to return home, I keep my tv in my bedroom on DISH TV with Enlighten on continually. I’m so glad that I missed all of the strss of them taking it off!! I would have had another heart attack! This is the best station on Sirius Radio and TV. Encouraging and uplifting!! Where else do you find that along with the message of hope and salvation??? Thank you Sirius for opening your eyes to how important this station is to so many of us!!!

i JUST LEARNED ABOUT ENLIGHTEN SOUTHER GOSPEL MUSIC BEING TAKEN OFF. SO MANY OF MY CHRISTIAN FRIENDS LISTEN TO SOUTHERN GOSPEL MUSIC. THE LORD GOD WILL BE MAGNIFIED NO MATTER WHAT. I THINK YOU HAVE MADE A GREAT MISTAKE IN TAKING SOUTHERN GOSPEL MUSIC OFF. PLEASE RECONSIDER THIS AND YOU WILL BE BLESSED.
I have been a regular listener of Enlighten and I am disappointed to discover its removal from the Dish programing choices. I would be interested to hear why. Was it because of a lack of sufficient use by subscribers or some other reason? I also enjoy Bluegrass Gospel which comes on at 8:00 AM on Sunday mornings; I hope that won’t be the next causality.

It was reported that “Sirius/XM will be removing enLighten from their satellite service and from Dish TV. It will remain, but as an online-only channel”…hence why many were concerned and reacted as they did.
Hope that clears it up for you.
did they really say they were taking christian programming (enlighten ) off the air or did they just say they were going to change the channel its broadcast on? as christians we are admonished not to gossip or spread it, passing on false information is gossip isn’t it? I await your response.

The reason we even have Sirius/xm is because of Enlighten. We had just bought a new car a year ago and it came with it and I happened on to the gospel station and thought I died and went to heaven. So for my birthday my husband got me 6 more months of Enlighten. What a gift for I so enjoy that music . something positive, happy and meaning ful. We well……….not get Sirius if it “Enlighten ” goes off. It seems right now ………….were still on.
