Tom Sawyer And Huck Finn Would Be Jealous

The heat and humidity are on a roll.  With heat indexes expected to be well over a hundred again today for large portions of Wisconsin it seem everyone is looking for a way to stay cool.

One of the scenes that caught my eye (and camera) was on Lake Monona where once again my favorite craft to watch was floating along.   Every time I see this out on the lake I think of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn.  I wonder what mayhem they could have created if only they had a small grill area and tiny restroom aboard “the raft”, along with space to lay out and contemplate life while floating along.

There are a couple of these gems stored on the Monona side of the lake, and it really does make me ponder renting one.

Here then is the image that made me think of Tom and Huck.
