Rick Santorum Makes Poor Use Of Time
Is this how Rick Santorum thinks he can win the GOP nomination? Or is he hoping for a V.P. pick?
On Friday, four days ahead of the primary, Santorum flew to his original home state of Pennsylvania to raise money and hold a media availability. Then he was headed south to his home in Virginia to do his tax returns, which he says he always does himself, in preparation for making them public. He was scheduled to return to Florida on Saturday night.
Greg Rothman, a close friend traveling with Santorum, said Friday that Santorum would certainly depart the state ahead of the Tuesday primary, possibly as early as Monday morning. He said Santorum was considering spending all of Monday in Florida after the positive reaction he received for his performance in Thursday’s CNN debate in Jacksonville, Santorum himself told reporters yesterday he will “run every race.”
But just not convincingly.
And just to underscore the point Santorum spoke to a CNN reporter tonight (1/31) and said he was just happy to have been at home at the time his daughter was sick and taken to the hospital. When he decided to leave the campaign trail as this blog noted and questioned the wisdom of he had no idea she as sick or would be sicker.

Nice try on the comment, but you are wrong. If you had noticed the day the post was written, and then taken time to view the link and noted the day it was written you would discover that the ailing daugher was not an issue—and would not be an issue– for another 36 hours. So I would have to be a Vegas odds-maker to see the future.
I write the blog for folks with enough intellect to put the larger themes of politics together, and the post here was indeed an accurate one as there is no one anywhere that will say that Santorum is a serious contender for the nomination or one that has a way forward that will result in anything other than just chatter from the sidelines.
You may think you see hate on the blog, and from your side of the aisle you should know what it looks like, but I see a day to day themactic view of where things are in politics playing out on this blog. I might mention on the Santorum front I have nailed it continuosly.
My 2.3 millions hits attest to the fact I am doing something that meets approval.
