Hat Tip To Rail Pro

This is incredible!  There are three adorable babies, and a most impressive mother.

Check out the Hawk Cam at UW-Madison.   The live webcam shows nesting Red-tailed Hawks. The nest is located on a ledge of the Weeks Hall building near the AOSS building.

For pictures of a hawk I have come to love click here and here.

    Huck,

No one is shining any lights–only sun—and if you are at all serious you will note there is nothing to see after the sun sets.

Yes let’s stimulate them and shine bright lights on them while they’re trying to sleep, just so I can have something to do on occasional nights when I’m bored.

I think the idea is not to disturb the parents or the chicks, just to observe and be amazed..

This is really neat, altho I looked last night and it was all dark and I couldn’t make anything out. I would hope they could light the nest at night, and maybe put in some electrodes that would send an impulse once in a while, so the chicks would move and there’d be some action. I made the same suggestion to Vilas Zoo a couple years ago for their animals, when it’s hot and they’re so sluggish, and just sleep or lay there. Haven’t heard back yet.
