Video: Senator Ted Kennedy’s Potomac River Home For Sale

Here is a little gem of a find for the house-hunter in all of us.

The late U.S. senator’s 10-bedroom, nine-bath house, on a double lot at 634-636 Chain Bridge Road in McLean, Va., is listed at $9,995,000. (That’s just $37,200 per month for the next 30 years, according to an online mortgage calculator.)

The riverfront house sits on six and a half wooded acres, and was on the market for $13,500,000 in 2007.

Built in 1968, the house was designed by architect John Carl Warnecke, who also designed John F. Kennedy’s gravesite in Arlington National Cemetery and Executive Branch office buildings near the White House that preserved the historic nature of Lafayette Park’s rowhouses.

It’s just down the road from the Hickory Hill estate formerly owned by Robert F. Kennedy.
