We are lucky enough to have a transplant in our garden!…the kids always affectionately refer to it as Royce’s Thistle.
Several years back I got a few transplants from my parent’s home, and planted them in a flowerbed here in Madison. They have a way of spreading so each year after the blooms they are cut back to curtail seeds from starting new plants.
They compete with forget-me-nots in my list of favorites. Are those from his home ?
