Christmas At The Wisconsin Governor’s Mansion

November 27, 2008

There is a warm and festive feel at the Wisconsin Governor’s Mansion as the many Christmas tree are trimmed, and the home is decked out with holiday cheer.  And you are welcome to enjoy this annual tradition in December.  The home is located in Maple Bluff, and remember this makes a perfect place to take a child!

The seven days of free tours begin Thursday, Dec. 4 at the mansion at 99 Cambridge Road, on the northeastern shores of Lake Mendota.

While there’s no admission fee, tour-goers are encouraged to bring new or nearly new children’s books, which will be given to literacy organizations.

The tour schedule is from noon to 2 p.m. on Dec. 4, 9, 13, 16, 18 and 20, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 11.

Facts are facts regardless of the time of year they are made.

Please note that this post was from 2008 so the days and times are not in any way part of this years dates. Furthermore I am not in any linked to the Governor’s Mansion. Esp. this Governor!

Having said that you should contact the Mansion directly for the times that the trees will be on display….at least I trust Walker will not shut down that part of the state too. He has been most dreadful in so many ways.

Let me know if you are having problems and I will try and help more directly.

Can we make an appointment or reservation for visiting on Dec. 9 at noon or do we just show up and get in line. Or what time does one have to be there to be able to get in? We will be coming from Milwaukee. Thank you.
