Saturday Song: Sam Harris “Somewhere Over The Rainbow “

Back in my radio days at WDOR a 45-rpm arrived in the mail and was added to the pile of current music in the studio.  It was a release by a new vioce, singing an old classic song.  I knew of the sensation this guy was making on the televison program “Star Search”, but up to that time had only heard his voice on radio, as I never watched the program.  When his single arrived at the station it was a hit among our listeners.  It was also one that I played late at night with the studio monitors cranked.

I end 2008’s Saturday Song with one that I hope echoes with hope at we prepare to enter 2009.
