Sarah Palin Is A Grandmother, Bristol Palin Gives Birth

December 30, 2008

I thought I would just report the news tonight and leave the comments and thoughts for later.  After all the baby can’t help being born into the Palin family.   But after having read the comments from the Governor’s office in Alaska there is no way that I can not comment.

I take great exception to Sarah Palin saying that this matter is a private family affair.  After the way that woman used her whole family in her quest for a national office she should not even breathe anything about this being a private matter. Palin made her family part of the national conversation.   When Sarah Palin made her family mere pawns for her unbridled zeal for higher office, her desire for privacy came to an end.

Sarah Palin would deny proper sex education in our public schools, or the distribution of condoms to prevent pregnancy and thereby make it harder to prevent unwanted pregnancies for families around the nation.  Yet she thinks that the irony of her own great parenting skills and conservative views should not be given full exposure when Bristol Palin gives birth as an unwed teenage mother.

There may be many conservatives who think that teenagers having kids is truly the perfection of family values.  I do not.  I think it shows a family that was out of touch with what their kid was doing.  I think it shows that education was lacking about not only sex education in the Palin household, but also shows a lack of concern about where Bristol wanted her life to go after high school and college.   Teenagers with dreams about life beyond high school do not have babies.   Being a high school drop out due to a pregnancy is not a career starter.  The lack of vision by Sarah Palin for her children’s future is breathtaking.  Image the vision that Sarah Palin has for America!

The root of all these problems come down to a failure of parenting skills, and  the lack of sound education.  Sadly, all of which the Palin home has plenty of.

So while I feel sorry for the baby who has a teenage mother, I also feel sorry tonight for Bristol having a mother called Sarah Palin.

The 18-year-old daughter of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has given birth in Alaska to a son.

People magazine reports that Bristol Palin gave birth to Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston on Sunday. He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces.

Relative Colleen Jones tells the magazine the baby is fine and Bristol is “doing well.” Jones is the sister of Bristol’s grandmother.

The father is Levi Johnston, a former hockey player at Alaska’s Wasilla High School. He has said he and Bristol plan to marry.

Palin created a stir in September by announcing the pregnancy as she prepared to accept her nomination at the Republican National Convention.

The governor’s office called the birth a private family matter.

She was Breast Feeding Tripp, her down syndrome baby boy. She took care of her baby. The father wasn’t helpless. Are you going to blame Jesus now, cause Judas, sold out? Was it Jesus’ fault, that Judas sinned? If you’re perfect, then I guess “Yes U Can” throw stones.

Oh brother, Obama, has implemented Federally Funding National & International Abortion: so we can “Abort the Whole Wide World!” That puts a “target” on America’s Backside, to any decent, yet desparate Third World Family Man — Who May Perceives a Socio-Politico threat to his wife/marriage and family life — and tempted to take things in his own hands, by doing something rash. Just a possible scenario.

I’m no Catholic Butt-Kisser, but I do respect people’s right to free self determination, w/o fetters, from the Government.

Your Obama pick, has Bailed Out: the Auto Industry, Banking Industry, and now the Abortion Industry. With what? Our good looks? China owns America now, thanks to Obama. Obama makes Love 2 Us All, and Doesn’t Commit to Real Americans.

I’m a former Cattle Rancher, so I know “bull,” when I read it.

You claim that she dragged her children all over the place without any concern or thought toward her own children…

Now, please… Enlighten me. Exactly how do you know what kind of mother she is? Did you have dinner with them? Did you spend a day with the family? Did you interview even one member of the family? Have a sleep over?!?! Seriously?

You have no right to judge anyone. Who are you but a gossip mongering, self-righteous, ignorant fool? You’re too busy pointing the finger to see that we are all imperfect. Not even one of us is even close to it. People make mistakes… And regardless of any amount of education (I was educated), if a young woman wants to be a mother, no amount of reason or knowledge will prevent the act from taking place.

I, for example, knew that having sex without protection would make babies… DUH! At what point do we accept responsibility for our own actions and decisions and stop blaming others.

She was pregnant because she wanted to be. And, her mom did not ever turn her back on her, abut instead lived by her own code. She supported her and divulged that information openly… WHICH DOES NOT entitle you or anyone to interfere with their personal life.

I would implore you to look at your own life and live by the same standards you just slammed her with. We are all given the right to opinion. But, that doesn’t always mean you’re right or that you speak truths.

And, good for her for accepting what she’s done in this life, and not killing/murdering another life simply because she didn’t make the “right” choice. Who’s really to say what is right or wrong anyway??? Isn’t right and wrong, or truth, found dwelling deep within each of our souls? The truth for her and what was right for her does not have to be the same as your personal opinion…

Furthermore, young women have children all the time. This does not make them morons or uneducated. It just means their focus/desires are different than your own… Aren’t you the same sort who preach tolerance? Again, live by your own standards and leave this family alone…

Why is it so difficult to see the hypocrisy? Really.

“There may be many conservatives who think that teenagers having kids is truly the perfection of family values. I do not.”

Your comments here display nothing more than your ignorance. Just because someone believes in preserving life does not mean that teenagers having children is “perfection.” You’re way off-base here. I speak only for myself, but I would imagine many others feel the same way. I would agree that teenagers having babies is certainly not ideal. But, part of growing up is living with the consequences of the decisions you have made. If you do not want a baby – don’t have sex… That’s the ONLY fool-proof way to avoid it. One does not have to be a genius to figure that one out.

Just think in about 14 years Tripp can knock-up some trash girl like Palin, and they can get married in a shot-gun type love affair, and this whole awful cycle of red-neck love can continue and grow in Palin Land. Maybe at some point down the road a brother and sister will even marry.

Blessed babies and blessed marriages. What joy!!

Yes, it is my understanding that the New Yorker is not really left wing leaning snooty, snobby publication. OF course I am going to pay attention what they say. All of the left wing propaganda after all is the way, the truth and the light…

Did you see the news today, where Sarah Palin claims that Levi *hasn’t* dropped out of high school? Heck no, Palin says, he’s taking correspondence courses.

Anyway, your readers will probably enjoy the recent New Yorker article describing the *lack* of family values in family-value-totin’ families. Turns out that all those evangelical kids (like Bristol) are having babies way too soon, and “liberal” families – who actually instill values in their kids – are not.

It’s too bad that not only Bristol didn’t complete high school nor did Sarah Palin have a tutor on her political circus tour for her kids. Levi Johnson quit school also to go to work in the oil fields. Although his salary is probably more than some make it doesn’t excuse the neglect of a high school education then on to college. Just think what he may have been able to accomplish in the oil industry is he had the education. Sarah Palin dragged her circus family about in her political quest. No thoughts for their education thinking that this journey was education enough. Lord, she couldn’t even get the history questions right..”what is the job of a VP?”
The motherly influence just wasn’t there. I do hope that Bristol got herself enrolled in parenting classes given by any reputable hospital and not do as I do Mother Palin’s advice.

Imagine if you will, miscellaneous “conservative” saying what you said about a teenage black girl:

“There may be many liberals who think that teenagers having kids is truly the perfection of family values. I do not. I think it shows a family that was out of touch with what their kid was doing. I think it shows that education was lacking about not only sex education in the Smith household, but also shows a lack of concern about where Latifah wanted her life to go after high school and college. Teenagers with dreams about life beyond high school do not have babies. Being a high school drop out due to a pregnancy is not a career starter. The lack of vision by Mrs. Smith for her children’s future is breathtaking. Imagine the vision that Latifah’s mom has for America!”

You’d be screaming “racism” and “how dare you be so judgemental.” Swimming in your own hypocrisy.

At least you cited the Associated Press rather than repeat the lies of a Hollywood tabloid website.
