Glenn Beck Lost Twenty Companies As They Pulled Their Ads From TV Show

August 17, 2009

This is awesome news!!

I am so proud that the values we share as Americans rise above the vile and mean-spirited rants from Glenn Beck.  The FAUX  News host uses his alcoholic and drug damaged brain to spew off for ratings.  But American companies have said no more!   We now even have Wal-Mart saying enough!  That was a shocker to see.  Ally Bank is also to be commended for doing the correct thing.  Best Buy is my favorite toy store (for adults) and so I am most pleased to see they too have made the ethical choice not to spend money on Beck’s hate-filled tirades.

Eight more Glenn Beck advertisers, including Wal-Mart – the world’s largest retailer – have confirmed to that they pulled their ads from the controversial Fox News Channel broadcaster’s eponymous show. Allergan (maker of Restasis), Ally Bank (a unit of GMAC Financial Services), Best Buy, Broadview Security, CVS, Re-Bath, Travelocity and Wal-Mart join the dozen other companies who previously distanced themselves from Beck.

Twenty companies have pulled their ads from Beck’s showin just the last two weeks. The moves come after the Fox News host called President Obama a “racist” who “has a deep-seated hatred for white people” during an appearance on Fox & Friends. Previous companies who pulled their ads include ConAgra, GEICO,, Men’s Wearhouse, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, RadioShack, Roche, SC Johnson, Sanofi-Aventis, Sargento, and State Farm Insurance.

“We are heartened to see so many corporate citizens step up in support of our campaign against Glenn Beck,” said James Rucker, executive director of “Their action sends a clear a message to Glenn Beck: Broadcasters shouldn’t abuse the privilege they enjoy by spewing dangerous and racially charged hate language over the air. No matter their political affiliation, hate language doesn’t belong in our national dialogue.”

I to agree that as a American citizens I have to pay taxes.

I understand that I am my brother’s keeper. That has been my view for the past 30 years, and so I understand the need for taxes, and the programs required to make our soceity better.

I have never once…..ever…complained about paying taxes.

That I feel is my duty as an American citizen.

You too have that same duty.

So I take it everyday when you get a pay check and you look at it and start to say ” Man why do I have to pay for these people on Medicaid, welfare and what ever the government is going to take out.”

Yet, here you complain about the government taking out money from you and here you support a president who believes that a Universal Health Care is in order. Geez, you are just still paying for those people who can’t afford their health insurance ( not really they are just to lazy to work and know that they are getting taking care by someone else.)

Why are you complaining I mean now that you ususally support 1:3 ratio now it will be like 20:1. All Glenn Beck was trying to do was say ” Hey wake up Mr. President stop taking vacations and betting on NFC playoffs and run our country.”

Beck is out of his mind. His theories that never come true are a call for attention. He must be on the sauce or pipe again because no rational person can make up crap like this.

    Yeah, Frank!

No one knows where I stand on any issue.

    Thanks for pointing that out!

BTW, what part of “I am so proud that the values we share as Americans rise above the vile and mean-spirited rants from Glenn Beck” was ambiguous to you?

To help you out Frank here is the meaning for ambiguous.

    Well written permalink.
It is all about the left being right, when in fact they are wrong on sooooooo many levels. Stand up and take a side, not both sides as you do so often. At least we conservatives let everyone know what we believe and are not on a floating grid as the liberals are.

I am boycotting all these stores and services. I started long ago with GE and NBC!

Why not put your faith in the system and tell me what company you own and where it is located?

If you are so sure about the correctness of Glenn Beck and his words, then let the poeple know who you are and what your business is.

Oh wow… These companies are such big hypocrites. So now they want to pull their ads because Glenn Beck ( a white man) said that : ” President Obama a “racist” who “has a deep-seated hatred for white people” So they are pulling their ads because they don’t support this kind of behavior. Yet, when Kayne West ( a black man) was live on national TV doing a Tel A Thon and said ” George Bush hates black people.”

Nobody really did anything except for saying ” I can’t believe he said that on live TV.” Still these same companies did nothing. Even Wal-Mart promotes his albums. Why didn’t stand up against Kayne West. Oh because he is black. Well goes to show who is racist here. But now they want to stop their advertising because a white man said it but for a black man to say it is OK. I bet these companies pull their advertisement because if they didn’t they probably lose business. Or is it because they don’t want to make it a race issue because it is a black man verses a white man and that will seem demeaning in their eyes.

So these companies wants to pull their advertisement…that is just great it really goes to show that these companies are racist and they just follow the trend. ( Cause they don’t know when to stand up for themselves.) I will never shop at these stores again.

Actually, I don’t shop at half of them anyways. Which is even better.
