Caffeinated Politics Ranked Second Local Blogger In Isthmus’ Madison Favorites

August 20, 2009

Quite a few years ago a long-time friend in Madison, Paulette, told me I should write a blog.  I laughed it off, and only after several months did I ponder her idea seriously.   Once I started to blog however, I found it was great fun, a release for my feelings on the topics of the day, and a great way to learn new things.  So it may seen coincidental that when Paulette sent an email today congratulating me on being ranked second in the Isthmus’ Annual Manual poll for local blogger, she was the first to alert me of the news.  She had no way of knowing she would be the first, but really who would have been more appropriate to do so?

For all those who read this blog, and voted for this slice of cyberspace in the Isthmus poll I am very touched.  My thanks are heartfelt.  You have made my day!!  (I now have something to write in my Christmas letter to relatives!  It has been a slow year…..)

I want to offer most sincere congratulations to Nichole Fromm and JonMichael Rasmus for coming in first place with Eating In Madison A to Z.  Equally sincere congratulations go to Emily Mills for The Lost Albatrossand David Blaska at the Daily Page

To say we are blessed to live in Madison would be a great understatement.  But to read the favorites of the 97 categories in the Annual Manual only makes that knowledge more ingrained and in sharper focus.

Again dear readers, many thanks!

Your blog has become a daily favorite of mine. You should be teaching most of this stuff in college to wide eyed students who want to learn about current events. Keep up the good work, please, for all of us need the information.
