Elvis’ Hair To Be Bid On At Auction Sunday

October 13, 2009

In the midst of the health care debate, and the continuing back and forth over what to do in Afghanistan a real news story finally breaks through.  A clump of Elvis Presley’s locks will be placed on the auction block.    The hair most likely was from the famous haircut at the time  “The King” went into the Army in 1958.  The auction will take place at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago.   The hair and other items for sale belonged to Gary Pepper, a close friend of Elvis.  Pepper died in 1980. but left his collection of Elvis memorabilia to his nurse who is now auctioning it on Sunday.

I was willed ownership of the “Graceland Press” from Mr. Jerry Robbins. It was the only newspaper ever written entirerly and exclusively for elvis and his fans. I would like to submit one of the original copies for auction, also I too have a lock of Elvis Presely hair given to me from Jerry Robbins who got it from Gill Gillian Elvis’s primary barber that I would like to include in the Leslie Hindman auction.
