I think it safe to add ‘angry’ to the white male description. I am waiting until more is known about the man, but will it surprise any of us if…….no, I will wait.

The would-be car-bomber who left an SUV loaded with propane and gas cans, fireworks and timing devices on a Times Square street also had more than 100 pounds of fertilizer, but not the kind that would explode, police said today.
Instead of ammonium nitrate, the kind of fertilizer used by Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, the person who abandoned the van on the crowded New York City street had a metal gun locker full of a harmless fertilizer, New York City Police Department spokesman Paul Browne said.
While it is unknown who the potential bomber is, or the bomber’s motive, officials told ABC, that if that person were not aware of the characteristics of the fertilizer it could point to the fact that the bomber did not know what he was doing.
Sources also told ABC News that the valves on the propane tanks were not open, which would have made it less likely that the gas inside would have ignited.
Police are looking for white male in his 40s who was seen leaving the area near the SUV and shedding a dark shirt, revealing a red shirt underneath, about a half block from where survellance cameras saw the vehicle entering Times Square at about 6:28 p.m. Saturday, NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly said.

If you have read this blog at all you will know that I have taken off after those who bastardize Islam. I know a fair amount about the religion, and know the vast majority of those who practice to be sincere and not of the fanatical type. It is akin to most catholics not wanting to rape little boys though you and I know that there are catholic priests who enjoy such things. I have also supported the war in Afghanistan. I mention that as there might be a connection to this latest incident and the war.
Having said that, what should concern you and your kind most is that when things like the New York bomb scare takes place, and authorities say they are looking for a white male one thinks first of angry mean-spirited teabaggers or the white male Oklahoma bomber type of profile. Angry white males are exactly what the phrase means.
If you do want to be thought of in such a fashion than do something to change.
so the white guy in the pic turns out yo have no connection yo the failed bombing, but yet you were already to go after the teaparty with zero facts. when I think of domestic terrorist I do not think teaparty as there has been no link to any acts of violence. what I do think of are bill ayets, the white boys who attacked uw in the 60’s, or many of the riots we see with the world bank protest all leftwingers.
You might want to recall that, when speaking of the 1960’s and 70’s, the overwhelming majority of the violence was done by the pro-war and anti-civil rights whites. There was the Southern white racists who blew up churches, lynched blacks and assassinated liberal educated whites who tried to help them. Lets not forget the police and National Guard beating and killing anti-war activists. Just this week more evidence surfaced that Kent State was intended murder.
