Boycott Johnsonville Foods: Contributed $44,000 To Scott Walker Since 2005!

February 19, 2011

Stunning amounts of money has been spent over the years from Ralph C. Stayer, president of Johnsonville Foods, and his sister Launa Stayer and Johnsonville staff.  They are major contributors to Scott Walker donating over $44,000 since 2005!

See it for yourself.

Then contact Johnsonville Foods and tell them that you will not buy their products until they stand up for the working men and women in Wisconsin.  Tell  Johnsonville Foods that union men and women are not to be treated like chopped liver in Wisconsin, and deserve the right to collective bargaining.  Tell them to stand up to Governor Walker and denounce the union busting bill now before the Wisconsin State Legislature.

Why should state workers, public employees, and those who support labor buy Johnsonville Foods if they will not support us?

It’s time for the people to rise up and put Republicanism in the trash can of US poltical history, like the tories. We need a big Liberal Revolution to bury the republican fascists.
Even if it means spliting the country in half–the time is now! We can call our new land LIBERALIA! THE PEOPLE SHALL GOVERN! THE PEOPLE SHALL LEAD!

Thanks for providing this info. This is what I just had to say to them:

“I camp during the summer a lot. And I mean a LOT! Been doing so ever since I was a kid, and I’ve been alive for over 4 decades now. Johnsonville Brats and Sausages have always been a big part of my campfire cooking…sometimes for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. So needless to say that I was extremely disapointed to find out that this company is one of Gov. Walker’s biggest supporters. Now, I ain’t really too much into politics but I do work through a local union’s hiring hall. All my income comes from union wages, so I can no longer in good faith continue to give my hard-earned money to a company who gives it to a politician that wants to take away the right for my union to sit down at the table and bargain. I still think that ya’ll have the best-tasting brats, but I’m sure you understand why I can’t buy your stuff anymore…so with all that in mind, who do you think has the second-best brat in Wisconsin? After all, I ain’t gonna stop camping and grill-outs just because of this…I’ll still need to buy my meat somewhere.”

Also – “democracy” in our system, and especially after Citizens United, cannot be just about winning elections. The idea of boycotts and mass protests – as well as other things – are needed because of Citizens United distorting and polluting our politics. We need to find work-arounds to let our discontent be heard – and addressed by the political system!

Note that in November in Egypt, Mubarak’s party got 90% of the vote. Now – if the elections were actually fair, then why did much of the country turn out in the streets a couple of months later…

    gun owner,

You clearly are not aware of the facts. This was not a topic in the campaign, and has nothing to do with the state budget.
