“Tea Party Republicans Can Put Aside Their Suicide Vests”

August 2, 2011

The best read today in the newspaper comes from the pen of Joe Nocera.

For now, the Tea Party Republicans can put aside their suicide vests. But rest assured: They’ll have them on again soon enough. After all, they’ve gotten so much encouragement.

These last few months, much of the country has watched in horror as the Tea Party Republicans have waged jihad on the American people. Their intransigent demands for deep spending cuts, coupled with their almost gleeful willingness to destroy one of America’s most invaluable assets, its full faith and credit, were incredibly irresponsible. But they didn’t care. Their goal, they believed, was worth blowing up the country for, if that’s what it took.

Like ideologues everywhere, they scorned compromise. When John Boehner, the House speaker, tried to cut a deal with President Obama that included some modest revenue increases, they humiliated him. After this latest agreement was finally struck on Sunday night — amounting to a near-complete capitulation by Obama — Tea Party members went on Fox News to complain that it only called for $2.4 trillion in cuts, instead of $4 trillion. It was head-spinning.

You know this has nothing to do with having differing opinions. Saying no was not the issue.

What the teabaggers did was take their extreme point of view and not work at a compromise with others, but instead threatened the United States with economic terror if everyone did not bend according to their desires. When young if you had encountered kids like this on the playground you probally would have taught them a lesson they would never forget….

These folks in Washington are Tea Party Terrorists.

Even the VP admits to that. (Might I add I had posted that term on my blog before he made his comment.)

So, if I get the logic of this right. If the Tea Party says “No” to President Obama we are Jihadists.

But if a Muslim pulls out a gun at Fort Hood in Texas and shouts “ALLAH AKBAR” kills and maims people he is NOT a Jihadist. He is what? Misunderstood because Dad didn’t play catch with him? What?

So, the Tea Party meeting I attended last night was really a meeting of fellow Terrorists and Jihadists whom are getting fitted with suicide vests for the second round of congressional debt package negotiations.

I don’t think that demanding our politicians to use a bit of common sense (which my father always told me was not that common) in their spending habits, border control, etc… is anything near a terrorist act.

No, it was the way they extorted a large part of their radical agenda they could never have gained any other way than to hold a gun to the economic head of America.

So according to Nocera, for no other reason than that they want far deeper spending cuts than he does, the Tea Party members must be terrorists who wage jihad on the American people and wish to destroy America’s full faith and credit?

Nocera has outed himself as a poor critical thinker and an asshat.

When terrorist has on a suicide vest, I beleive the proper reaction is to shot them dead before they are able to detonate it. How do you think terrorists should be dealt with? Especially one that has on a “suicide vest.”

Seriously, this coordinated effort by Democrats to slap the “terrorist” label on political opponents is not only immature, but it is extremely dangerous. It is even worse than when I get called a “thug” for protesting against the loss of collective bargaining or when I get called a “libtard” by commentators on Althouse for expressing my dislike of Walker’s policies. In case you forgot, our Armed Forces is currently hunting down and killing actual terrorists. Is that what you are calling out for in this situation as well?

Again, I sincerely beseech you to stop and think about what you’re saying….and where your words will naturally&logically take us to.
