Madison’s Snuggle House Gets Support From Americans for Prosperity, Large Funder For Teabaggers

November 2, 2013

I am not in favor of The Snuggle House in Madison.  But a massive funder for the teabaggers are in favor of The Snuggle House.

Maybe the Koch brothers just need some time with huggable Elmo.

David Fladeboe, state director for Americans for Prosperity — which advocates for limited  government and free markets — wrote  a letter praising the new snugglers-for-hire business as a triumph of  capitalism and economic freedom.

“Although the idea may seem best suited for a utopian fantasyland, the fact  that you can now sell hugs is the embodiment and epitome of capitalism,”  Fladeboe wrote. “Under the age-old rules of supply and demand, literally  everything has a price if people will pay — even affection sold at 30-minute  intervals.”

He added, “Whether or not Madison’s optimistic elite class like to admit it,  the Snuggle House is proof — weird, creepy proof — that free markets work.”
