Did Governor Christie Fly In Helicopter Over Fort Lee During Lane Closures?

February 10, 2014

How much more can the Republican Governor’s Association hear before they say time for a change?  At some point they will need to cut the big guy loose.   Governor Chris Christie is too toxic for the aspirations and needs of the many GOP candidates seeking election this fall to be caught with a close embrace from the legally and ethically challenged New Jersey pol.

The state legislative committee investigating the George Washington Bridge scandal is looking into whether Gov. Chris Christie flew in a state helicopter over Fort Lee at the time of last year’s controversial lane closures, according to a source with knowledge of the probe.

The source, who is not authorized to speak about the investigation, requested anonymity.

At the bottom of this news new comes the need to probe records of helicopter rides Gov. Chris Christie took to see if he flew near Fort Lee, and if the governor took a ride with then-Port Authority exec David Wildstein, who allegedly orchestrated the lane closures on the order of a Christie aide.
