Sen. Lindsey Graham Shows Leadership Over Confederate Flag

June 22, 2015

News today that shows the moral center is rising.

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina will call today for the removal of the Confederate flag from state grounds.  That comes in stark contrast to Scott Walker.

The moral center proved it still has clout. This had far less to do with politics and far more to do with matters of conscience. This story and all its parts showed who the adults are who had the grasp of the moment to make sound decisions. Conversely it also shows who the others are.

So the flag comes down what happens then, mass killings stop? Racism stops? Liberal agenda stops? What will they blame after the next shooting happens? It is interesting how this works, the liberals don’t focus on the actions or the victims but they will focus on labeling the shooter and focus on a symbol that had nothing to do with the deaths.

This just in……………..Gov. Scott Waffler, (R-No Integrity) NOW says he supports removing the confed flag from the S.C. statehouse grounds, even BEFORE the funerals are done, which he said people should wait for before discussing the issue. He also said he’ll get rid of the $3500 in donations he received SINCE 2011 from the white supremacist whose organization’s website influenced the Charleston shooter. Unintimidated!

Lol! Certainly, Graham is just pandering here. He wants to do what “feels good.” But he has much more standing than Walker. There are millions of things which might appeal to racist elements–or incite them. Shall we remove them all? Politics is more than doing what feels good at the moment. Let the people of South Carolina decide what they want as their flag. Walker doesn’t live there, its not a matter for the feds, they are capable of making the decision.

Leading from behind, a couple days ago he said it’s “part of who we are.” You got that right Lindsey. But, better late than never.
