News Reports: Joe Biden To Make Decision In 48 Hours

October 19, 2015

I am hopeful that there is a positive result from the many Democrats who wish to see Vice-President Joe Biden enter the campaign for president.  I had wished his entry would have come sooner.  I did think Hillary Clinton delivered a very strong performance at last week’s debate.    But I am still troubled with the FBI investigation into her emails and the fallout this will have on her polls numbers as the drip-drip-drip of this takes its toll over the months ahead.  I am also troubled with how inept and less than artful her campaign has been in dealing with this matter.

In other words there are many political reasons for Joe Biden to run.  There are, as Democrats know, many solid reasons to support his candidacy should he enter.  When it comes to policy matters, be it domestic or international, there is no one better suited in this nation today than Biden to lead our way forward.  That is why I was heartened to read the latest in USA Today.

Hundreds of wealthy Democrats who raised money for President Obama’s re-election have not yet joined the top fundraising ranks of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, raising hopes among some of Vice President Biden’s supporters that there remains a path for his late entry into the race,” USA Today reports.

On this we agree, pk, as it seems most assuredly that Clinton will secure the nomination. Following a strong debate and then the congressional Republicans announcing their investigation was a partisan affair Clinton is clearly in the lead. With the money and campaign infrastructure also playing into the equation Biden made the best choice for himself and the party.

He made the right decision not to run, he sees the handwriting on the wall as to how 2016 is going to go
