Standing Up For Planned Parenthood Tonight

November 27, 2015

The bile about Planned Parenthood spun by conservative Republicans created the climate of hate that resulted in the shootings at a clinic in Colorado today. It is vital that all those who understand why women must have control of their own bodies and health care stand up and tell the three-thumbers to shut the hell up. Words have consequences and all the clap-trap from the GOP aimed at harming PP does connect with those who are not stable but have plenty of ways to get a gun. PP serves a real need in the nation and this is the time to stand up proudly for the services they provide and the people they help.

Free speech vs. the spewing of lies and ginned up political rhetoric are two different things. You must accept the reality of what your party has done and continues to do.

in America it is always acceptable to allow unhinged elements to spout their garbage. This is the definition of free speech. That fact that you don’t understand this is deeply troubling. Free speech is a core American value–even if your liberal buddies don’t like it. You should remember that there would be no gay rights movement if “unhinged elements” were not allowed to spew their garbage. (and no, im not saying LGBT is unhinged)

    Violence is unacceptable.

And more news concerning the effects of over-the-top rhetoric from the right-wing….

A minor was arrested early on Wednesday after allegedly vandalizing a Planned Parenthood clinic in Claremont, New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported.

“Today’s damage was particularly extensive including the use of a hatchet to destroy computers, furniture, plumbing fixtures, office equipment, medical equipment, phone lines, windows and walls,” Police Chief Alexander Scott said in a statement.

What is unacceptable is allowing for the unhinged part of the conservative Republican Party to spout anger and disinformation about PP. That then allows for the unbalanced in your party to think they have license to act out.

In a more broad sense it was the GOP who condoned and encouraged the Tea Party element to foment racist and xenophobic messages in 2009/2010. By not knocking that back but instead allowing it to fester has now created the months of Donald Trump. This is not good for the nation, and certainly ruinous to GOP chances for victory in 2016.

Your party opens the door for such crazy activity to take place and find a home in this nation. Therefore it is only proper and appropriate that people with the ability to reason and concern about the state of affairs here to say it is indeed time for a huge segment of conservatives to “shut the hell up”.

So, because some are unable to hold reasonable debate, the rest of us must “shut the hell up?” Once again, your anti-intellectual and anti-free speech tendencies are on clear display. You write some scary stuff, Deke.

    You make me laugh.

When a Chattanooga recruiter station was shot up and 4 people killed you posted nothing for days because you said, “If I was to blog every time four people were shot in this nation as the result of one gunman,I would have to give up my entire life to the cause of such postings.”

Let an abortion clinic get shot up and 3 people die you have post up within minutes. But I understand as a liberal abortionist mean more to you than the evil military who are nothing more than baby killers in your book.
