The New Yorker Cover–“Shopping Days” About Guns In America

At the end of a long harsh week in America where gun violence dominated the news comes the timely and provocative cover of The New Yorker.

There is nothing to laugh at over the carnage this week in America, but perhaps the best way to drive home the absurdity of our gun culture is presented in this cover to one of America’s most respected and well-read publications.  The magazine’s cover is features a smiling couple stocking up on firearms and grenades — tossing the items into a shopping cart as if they were on a grocery run.
