Americans Strongly Support President Obama On Executive Actions On Guns

January 7, 2016

Heartening news tonight as a major poll shows how the rank-and-file American citizen feels about the actions taken this week by President Obama.

The American public is broadly supportive of President Obama’s executive actions on guns, a new CNN/ORC Poll finds.  According to the poll, 67% of respondents say they favor the changes Obama announced on Tuesday, and 32% oppose them.

The executive actions aim to increase the reach of federal background checks for gun purchases and improve enforcement of existing laws.

I have stated time and time again that the nation yearns for leadership on this matter.  Democrats can use this issue to press forward in 2016.
