Gun Control Starts With You And Me

June 12, 2016

I spoke this evening at the rally at the Wisconsin Statehouse held to deal with mass slaughter in Orlando. I spoke from the heart about the loss of life that forced our nation to lower flags half-mast and how the NRA needs to be curtailed. I stressed that our sense of loss, anger, and fear as a nation and as gay Americans needs to be translated into passion for urging congress to write and pass meaningful gun control measures. I also urged people to have conversations not just with folks we agree with but everyone as we must vote in numbers that matter and send a message all can understand. This gun violence must end. It starts with you and me.   When I concluded there was strong applause.

“I also urged people to have conversations not just with folks we agree with but everyone” about all I can say on this statement is another liberal fairy-tale, oh and to clear things up I am not a member of the NRA never have been nor do I own guns, haven’t for 40 years but the one thing I do believe in is the Constitution and that document has worked for 240 years the way the foundling Fathers expected it too.

The addle-minded one who spews NRA nonsense missed the fact that the person who shot and murdered 49 people in Orlando was a gun owner and was able to buy his guns even though he was on the FBI watch list for two years because the NRA undermined the legislation in Nov. 2015 that would have prohibited such a purchase. The NRA bought the GOP congress and so there is more than ample reason to say that both the NRA and Republicans are very much to blame for the mass killing. It is simply astounding that pk would try to make such an assertion. How incredibly stupid. I know pk does not have much interest in learning facts but as to the gun owners doing no harm…he might want to try and sell that line of horse-rot to the seven people who were killed and at least 32 others – including a 5-year-old girl – who were wounded in shootings across Chicago since Friday night. There was even gun violence in Madison. Green Bay has had at least nine shootings in this year alone. There have been 133 mass shootings across America in 2016 already and it seems that, once again, mass shootings will be entering the territories of nearly one-a-day by the time the year ends. It is also abundantly clear that pk has no clue.

…..they blame the 89,999,999 gun owners who didn’t harm anyone today. They blame Republicans……..(Editor’s Note: One gets the drift of the NRA brainless rambling so the rest of this comment is deleted. As stated before the NRA does not get free passage on this blog.)
