Apparently the public is not reading or caring about Donald Trump’s tweets concerning SNL.
Saturday Night Live is having its best season since the election of Barack Obama. In live-plus-7-day measurement, SNL is averaging 11.310 million total viewers and 3.56 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.
Saturday night’s show, with SNL alumna Kristen Wiig hosting for the second time and Alec Baldwin returning as Donald Trump, drew a 4.7 live-plus-same-day rating in the metered markets and a 2.2 among adults 18-49 in the markets with local people meters. These are season low marks for SNL.
The president-elect took to Twitter on Sunday morning to complain about SNL’s content. “It is a totally one-sided, biased show—nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?” Baldwin responded to Trump, telling him to shift his focus away from SNL and toward his presidential duties ahead.
