There Is Always Hope

February 5, 2017

It is the little things which make life meaningful.

Today for the first time this year James and I sat outside (on chairs on the coffin porch) reading in the sunshine. With tea for James and my mug of coffee we read our books for over an hour and felt as my dad would say ‘the push of the sun’.

At this time of year the days are getting longer on Madison’s isthmus and the sun’s warmth increases. We spend so much time this way outside in the sun that the first such day in a new year reminds us of all the reasons to always smile. A muggy summer night with fireflies floating about……..that too is coming!

But it always starts on a winter day with the warming sun.
