Sarcophagus For President Woodrow Wilson

June 6, 2017

Until a recent trip to Washington, D.C. I was not aware that President Woodrow Wilson was buried in a sarcophagus at the National Cathedral.  His wife, Edith, is also buried in the floor alongside him.

Thanks for that information. There is so much to see and history abounds at every turn–which means another trip down the road is required to D.C.

Visited Woodrow Wilson’s home in DC. Very worthwhile. Almost exactly as he left it when he died in the 1920s. His widow Edith lived there until about 1970. Jackie Kennedy once visited as first lady, when she was restoring the White House, to ask Edith for one of the Jefferson chairs they stole. She was turned down and the chair is still proudly displayed.
