Here is yet another example of why Republican candidate Roy Moore is so dangerous to the GOP. Once he is elected and makes inflammatory and despicable statements on the senate floor every other candidate for office on their party ticket will be asked by some reporter to weigh in on the topic.
As to the latest bombastic and highly un-Christian comment from one who uses his religion as a partisan tool–well, polls around the nation show he is on the minority side when it comes to transgender rights.
Moore who is running for the U.S. Senate in Alabama stated, “They’ve never been denominated as having rights by the U.S. Supreme Court. [Democrat Doug Jones] believes in transgender bathrooms and transgenders in the military. I disagree with him 100 percent,” Moore said.
Moore’s comments came one day after Danica Roem, a transgender woman, unseated a conservative Republican in a Virginia House of Delegates race.
Moore is not known to be rooted to the U.S. Constitution. He was twice removed from the state Supreme Court, first for defying a federal order to remove a large statue of the Ten Commandments from the courthouse. He was most recently removed for advising judges not to honor the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision legalizing same-sex marriage.
And so it goes.
