Strong Support For Military Strike On Syria

Seen in Damascus tonight.

I am 100% in support of the actions tonight from the United States in conjunction with Britain and France regarding a military strike on Syria   It is proper for Donald Trump to call out Russia and Iran for their support of the world’s most murderous regime.   We can, and should, call attention to Trump’s too cozy handling of Russian President Putin over the past 18 months.  That is why the news tonight that Trump called out Putin by name is a most critical part to this story.

But let me reiterate what needs to happen.

What is needed is not another symbolic, targeted airstrike akin to what took place almost a year ago.  What is required is a strategy for Syria and the region.  The Trump White House has been adrift when it comes to seriously considering a policy that allows for the larger long-term needs to be met.  So while I very much applaud a strong reaction to the barbaric behavior from Assad and his military I also want to see an actual policy be developed.

Trump made a huge mistake when stating he wanted to have an exit strategy from Syria.  Since there was no policy in place the exit would only have allowed for a vacuum which rightly has caused the Pentagon, State Department along with allies such as Israel and France to be alarmed.

Abortion Paid For By Top GOP Official–Party Of Family Values Seemed Not To Care For This Fetus

The story just keeps getting more and interesting.

A major donor with close ties to the White House resigned on Friday as deputy finance chairman of the Republican National Committee after the revelation that he had agreed to pay $1.6 million to a former Playboy model who became pregnant during an affair.

The deal was arranged in the final months of 2017 by President Trump’s personal lawyer and fixer, Michael D. Cohen.

In his statement, Mr. Broidy apologized to his wife and family while acknowledging that he had had an affair with the woman, who has not been identified. He said that “she alone decided that she did not want to continue with the pregnancy, and I offered to help her financially during this difficult period.”

GOP fundraiser Elliott Broidy has stepped down as Republican National Committee deputy finance chair, according to three people familiar with the matter.

The departure followed reports on Friday afternoon that in 2017, President Donald Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen had negotiated a $1.6 million payment on Broidy’s behalf to a Playboy Playmate who said that Broidy had impregnated her.

The resignation was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Editor’s Note: Why CP Terms Stormy Daniels “Whore”, Donald Trump “Soulless”?

Every now and then there is a need for an explanation given about why I write certain words or phrases.  A reader this week correctly asked a question that makes the following post necessary.  When writing that the National Enquirer was paying people off to stop certain stories from spreading I used the term “whore” to define Stormy Daniels.  It was then that a person asked me on-line “Why do you call the woman a negative name, but not the man?”

It was a very well taken point.   The educator who made the comment was correct to point out the glaring obvious truth.

I used the word “whore” on purpose to show the depths to which Trump lives his life. To call Daniels a hook-up or girl-friend would not have conveyed the same accuracy or tone.  While I know some news organizations term Daniels an actress that would then be akin to calling me an Elvis impersonator since I sing Burning Love in the shower.  Daniels is what she is, and there is no logical way I can skip over the fact.

But the point made by my reader was why I used a term to describe one gender but not a weighted one to describe Trump.

Readers know that there is no shortage of words on my blog used to describe Trump over the last 24 months.  I am well aware that readers bounce about and do not land on every word I post about the one who currently sits in the Oval Office.

I have long considered what would be the best single word to use for Trump.  After months of such thinking I landed some time back on “soulless”.   I know many flippantly use words and do not chose carefully.  But soulless is used on my blog regarding Trump with a religious foundation.

Trump has no redeeming qualities.  He is beyond redemption.  He is dark and corrupt.  Beyond being drawn back to the light for salvation.   Every act of his life underscores again and again his darkness.

I am glad the comment was made because it points out that readers are thinking when they come to CP.  And in this time in which we live I can sincerely state nothing makes me more pleased than to have informed and educated followers.
