All You Need To Know About Trump And His Treasonous Actions

Treasonous Trump: American President Surrenders To Russian Leader

One of my friends, who I have known the longest, often tells me that we have lived through some mighty impressive news stories.  A presidential resignation, attempted impeachment of another, space shuttle explosion, 9/11, and the 2000 Supreme Court decision that determined an election.  He is right, of course, we have seen a great deal in our lifetimes.

I never thought, however, I would see the day when an American President would stand on the stage with the Russian President and place blame on the United States for Russian aggression.   I never thought or dreamed a leader could be so shameful, pathetic, and low.  Never did I think a president could be a traitor. and act in a treasonous manner.

Trump, in a stunning rebuke of the US intelligence community, declined today to endorse the US government’s assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election, saying he doesn’t “see any reason why” Russia would be responsible.

Instead, Trump — standing alongside Russian President Putin — touted Putin’s vigorous denial and pivoted to complaining about the Democratic National Committee’s server and missing emails from Hillary Clinton’s personal account.

“I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today,” Trump said during a joint news conference following his summit with Putin.

It was simply stupefying for any rational person who was watching the shameful display.

Trump wants us to think that we are now going through the worst period of US and Russian relations.  That is a travesty! Many know history and read it.  Just in my lifetime the Cuban Missile Crisis occurred when the two nuclear powers went head to head.  What in hell is wrong with Trump?  What is wrong with those who think him credible?   Do they know the meaning of the word?

As this was playing out my mind slipped back to the words Trump uttered on January 20, 2017.  “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

What part of that oath did he not understand?

Or more to the point does his illegal and sham-ridden corrupt business dealings, which made it impossible for him to release his tax returns, now also prevent him now from acting as a real American while in office?

How much longer can people such as General John Kelly keep their place in this administration when it is so obvious that Trump completely dropped and ignored his oath of office.  More so how can anyone in this nation not vomit over the fact that Putin was there in person to see an American president surrender?

The onus is now on the Republican Party and their elected officials to use their words, votes, and subpoena power and get behind the need for a complete and utter denouncement of what Trump has done.  Up to now the GOP have been lap dogs, and if they are truly neutered and not able to act over this ghastly performance by Trump then history will judge them to be complicit in the undermining of America.

Never in our lives, my fellow Americans, have we been smacked so hard and dealt such a severe blow by one of our own.

Why Does Trump Act The Way He Does With Putin?

It was a troubling scenario no matter how some would try to spin it.  An American president huddling alone with an enemy of the United States who infiltrated our election system.

Following the policy angle of the American-Russian relations will lead the objective thinker to the only conclusion there is–when it comes to the advisers and knowledgeable foreign policy thinkers inside the White House vs. Donald Trump–there is a significant difference of opinion.  The former are steeped in facts and experience, the latter in delusions and quite probably corruption.

What we have witnessed from Trump is a relentless series of attacks on allies over a host of issues while at the same time a creating a warm embrace of Putin.   It is all most troubling not only for our allies, but also our republic.

The European Union, and NATO have been the most secure and important partners the United States have had for all of my life–and I am 56 years old.  Therefore what has transpired over the past week alone, is nothing short of a most corrosive set of developments.

Leading up to the Trump visit with Russian President Putin, anyone with facts and history under their belt, would have desired a unified approach with our allies. Especially considering the level of damage Russia has engaged in with election tampering and international interference.  But Trump did not wish for that type of response.  And we need to ask why.

The reason for a concerted course of action with our allies is most obvious.  Special Counsel Mueller came out with an extraordinary set of indictments last week where the United States said it was prepared to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, with public evidence to a jury, that President Putin is lying about election tampering.  With the Mueller move the US is saying flat our that we have absolute proof Russian crimes.

But to listen to the Trump White House this whole matter is just pure politics.  There were no words about what our government will do to combat this continued problem from Russia, or how we will will defend our electoral system from hackers.  There was no serious statement whatsoever from Trump.

What was required at the meeting today between Trump and Putin will not be a shocker.  It should have been made known in stark terms what the United States will do in response to Russian actions.  Putin needs to know we will not be pushed around or have our political institutions undermined.

While we know the serious minds at the White House differ with Trump over Russia, we also are aware he has not allowed for the people with facts to set the agenda.   The nation can no longer allow Trump to play coy over Russia, or allow him to avert the national response to Russian crimes in our elections.

What Russia has engaged in over the time Trump has been in the Oval Office is more than enough reason for this White House to be tough on Putin.  Just this month we again have had Russia using nerve agents–this time in the United Kingdom.  The horrors of Russian abetting war crimes in Syria continues.  And the list of outrages keeps growing.  Yet this nation has sat back and not had a response from the president on these matters.

And we need to ask why.

And DEMAND an answer.
