Jerry Falwell Jr. Is Wrong, Founding Fathers Correct

September 30, 2018

Evangelical leader Jerry Falwell Jr. is blasting Republican leaders as “a bunch of wimps,” and suggesting that conservatives and Christians should stop electing “nice guys.”

The Founding Father Fathers would, of course, disagree.  I have spent much time studying the work of the men who made the nation.

Public documents air their views showing they wanted republican virtues within the populace such as justice and obeying of the laws.  They wanted moderation, feared populism, desired benevolence, temperance, industry, frugality, religious piety, and wanted to have the people’s representatives to be of the virtuous type.

They would have frowned on Jerry Falwell Jr., and his call for an end to the election of nice people to office.
