Country Music Star Roy Clark Dead At Age 85

Country star Roy Clark, the legendary singer and guitar player who headlined “Hee Haw” for nearly a quarter century has died. He was 85.

A representative for the singer said Clark died on Thursday at his Tulsa, Oklahoma home due to complications from pneumonia.

    We so agree, Howard. There are many classic country music artists who have provided some long-lasting performances from that show.. From Acuff to Wynette, to Lynn…the list is very long, indeed.

    “Hee Haw” is frequently disparaged, but it did feature some really great music. I loved that show, in spite of all the stupid jokes. Roy Clark was an awesome guitarist. And he had that little smirk on his face when he played something really amazing.
