Only a few blocks from where I live stands our Wisconsin State Capitol. It has a larger dome by volume, and only a few inches shorter–out of deference–than that of the United States Capitol. The GOP controlled Senate was in session today and spitting in the eyes of each state resident and voter.
But the mood in the rotunda was one of calm and the Holidays as the Christmas tree donated by Mary and Don Miller from Plainfield stood tall and proud. I took a number of photos but this one strikes me as perfect as it showcases the glow of lights and the impressive stones in the building.
