Best Book I Have Read In Over A Year

April 24, 2019

Want to leave a good post as the last one for this day.

This is a most magnificent book! I read it, and as the pages were turning, made James aware of the amazing writing and plotting.  He read it, loved it, too.

What makes A Gentleman in Moscow an utterly entertaining read is that Amor Towles spends over 400 pages in the Metropol, the famed Moscow hotel where movie stars, Bolsheviks, intellectuals, spies, and host of others gather.  The main character is Count Alexander Rostov, who while under house arrest, meets extraordinary people.  The love for life, and of life, makes this a most uplifting and calming story for not only the Count, but for the readers who are blessed with this book in their hands.

One of the best reads of this kind (for me) in over a year, at least!
