Herman Cain Dead, Did Not Care About Others With His Poor Decisions Regarding COVID-19

Who could have predicted this news?  Herman Cain is dead, now one of the over 151,000 Americans who are to be listed in the pages of history as dying during this pandemic.

But frankly, given the simple-minded nature of how Cain carelessly conducted himself in the face of professional guidance about COVID-19, who really cares?  After all, he did not care about himself or others when he acted rashly and without regard for data and science.  He opposed the protocols that we are all aware of regarding how to not become infected, or how to stop the transmission of the virus to others.   And that way of acting has an impact on others.

Cain attended  Donald Trump’s Tulsa rally, was then diagnosed and hospitalized with Covid-19.  Cain, as co-chair of Black Voices for Trump, was one of Trump’s surrogates at the rally.

I said at the time of the rally the cult-like atmosphere which surrounds so much of the Trump base refused to practice social distancing and rejected the wearing of masks.  That attitude then is repeated on FOX News and with conservative talk radio to the lower-educated Trump base, which adds to the national problem of dealing effectively with this virus.

So who really cares if Cain is dead?  He did not care about anyone else as his actions during the pandemic most clearly demonstrated.  The pandemic is serious and the only way to make the point to some of the Trump base is with a funeral.

And so it goes.

Herman Cain, No Mask During Tulsa Trump Rally, Has COVID-19

Well, well, well.  Who could have predicted that those who were not acting responsibly, given the pandemic, would suffer the results?

Herman Cain, the former 2012 GOP presidential candidate who attended Trump’s Tulsa rally, has been diagnosed and now hospitalized with Covid-19.  Cain, as co-chair of Black Voices for Trump, was one of Trump’s surrogates at the rally.

The cult-like atmosphere which surrounds so much of the Trump base refused to practice social distancing at the rally and rejected the wearing of masks.

Because of his stupidity, I wonder how many people Cain infected.

Herman Cain Said God Might Call Him To Run For President In 2016

I am sure God is telling me not to vote for Herman Cain in 2016.

And I am even more sure that God is telling Herman Cain to keep his hands off anyone he is not married too, and to double-check that his zipper is in the upright position.

Most Off-The-Wall Republican Convention Comment Today

(I will try to post one of these verbal whoppers each day during the GOP convention.)

IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE – former presidential candidate HERMAN CAIN, on
CBS:
‘If everyone had competed fairly and honestly, I’d probably be the

nominee being nominated this week.”

If Cain had kept his zipper up while with other woman, and faithful to his wife….

Will God Even Make An Endorsement For The Fall General Election?

Hmmm….

But Santorum’s withdrawal is also a major milestone for God, the beloved all-powerful deity whose personal endorsement somehow failed to secure the nomination for any of the numerous Republicans — Santorum, Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann, and Rick Perry — whom he reportedly encouraged to run for president. It is unclear at this point whether God will even bother to offer anyone his apparently useless endorsement in the general election.

Herman Cain Wants To Be Defense Secretary

I want to be singing on the Grand Ole Opry stage.

One of us has  a better chance of attaining the goal.

It is not Herman.

Said Cain: “Because if I could influence rebuilding our military as it should be, that would be a task I would consider undertaking.”

Barabra Walters reminded Cain that “it would be important to be familiar with the various countries around the world. And you have had some difficulty with that, Mr. Cain.

George Will Spoke For Everyone About “Charlatans, Entrepreneurs And Entrepreneurial Charlatans”

I have complained on this blog about the way some candidates for president now use the political process to make money for their personal bank accounts.  Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, and Herman Cain have bastardized the process to make untold amounts of cash, all the time knowing they were either not going to be actual candidates, or had no realistic way to win the party nomination.  Each of them used the theatrics of ‘running’ merely to make money from the process.

That is shameful.

This morning George Will came out swinging on “This Week”.  Will, needless to say, is correct!

AMANPOUR: George, Rick Santorum hoping to get a boost from Herman Cain’s supporters. Is that viable for him? Will he, do you think?

GEORGE WILL, COLUMNIST: Sure, he’s playing the Iowa game by the traditional rules. And I think there’s an interesting contrast between Santorum’s fate and Cain’s fate. We want a process that allows a dark horse like Santorum, someone who has been seriously engaged in national politics to gain traction if he has time, hence a small state like Iowa should lead this process.

I think, however, and I wonder if Donna agrees, that between now and 2016, both parties have to do some serious thought as to whether they can develop some filter to prevent this process, particularly with made proliferation of debates from being hijacked by charlatans, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial charlatans.

AMANPOUR: Who would you label as one of those?

WILL: Well, the one who dropped out, Mr. Cain, who used this as a book tour in a fundamentally disrespectful approach to the selection of presidents. Now, we have a December 27th debate proposed that would be moderated by Donald Trump. Surely it is time for these candidates to do something presidential, stand up and say we’re not going to be hijacked and participate in this.

Herman Cain Suspends Campaign For White House

There is no way this could have come out any other way for Herman Cain.

In a self-aggrandizing speech Cain spoke of his grandmother, and his desire to move forward and continue to speak to the issues of the nation.  With applause from truly misguided folks who can not, or will not, see the sham that is Herman Cain, a vow of continuing to press for the needs of the nation was made.

Cain spoke repeatedly about Plan B, and I kept wondering if we was going to the gay bar in Madison, or had somehow convinced himself that after failing to win the nomination and the presidency (Plan A) there was anything else left to really think uplifting about his race.

While there is always a noble calling in running for the White House, I wonder how much his intellect was trumped by ego over the past year.  Had he any sense of politics, or the way a campaign is run, there is no way given his checkered background that he would have entered this race.

While Herman Cain is a powerful speaker and colorful personality, the thing that striked me over the months, and especially the past month as women have come forward to show he was cheating on his wife, was his over-abundance of hubris.

That may be an asset in the corporate world.  It is not one that gains a candidate any legs in a national race where personality flaws are obvious, but never honestly addressed with the voters.

There is no way this could have come out any other way for Herman Cain.
