Ronald Reagan Would Have An Answer

But today’s conservatives in the GOP have none.

The White House again has refused to say if Russia and Vladimir Putin is an ally, enemy or something in between. Three times this week–THREE TIMES–Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee, who needs to slow down at the buffet bars, has been asked by reporters to describe the official position of Donald Trump on Russia.

Each time, she has declined to describe how the president views relations with Moscow, a nuclear-armed global power.

Maybe Trump is first waiting to see if he is still in line for more Russian loans.

Hey! That’s a nasty sexist remark you made re: Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Her appearance has nothing to do with her job performance!

Not every woman is model thin. She’s a young mother who has given birth 3 times in the last 5 years, her children being 5, 3½, and 2 yrs old. Additionally it seems she’s the beneficiary of genes from a father who’s fought a weight problem most of his adult life and a mother who is a tall large boned woman. It’s simply not acceptable to attack a woman appearance because you don’t agree with her politics or job performance.

. . and btw, have you looked in your mirror lately? You may not have a “buffet” issue, but . . .

  2. Did you have the same concerns about Donald Trump in the campaign when speaking of women–and did that stop your views of him as a potential president? I simply find Huckabee one of the most shallow and talent-less characters at the White House. As I often point out on my blog–I call it as I see it. That remark is simply how I see it.

Well, I’m really surprised to hear – you are willing to pattern yourself after Donald Trump re: speaking of women’s appearances. Shallow and talent-less are sufficient to make your point.

  4. But, Patti, you here are making the point loud and clear about your ability to call out the very things you do not like about certain use of language from a mere blogger but do not back away from your support for one who has exhibited those traits and far worse and now resides in the White House. I also find it amusing that you can comment twice on this post–and I welcome feedback–about the way I have described the talent-less Huckabee–but have not addressed the 800-pound gorilla in the room–that being the relationship between the Trump family and campaign with Russian attempts to undermine our election process in America in 2016. As with others on FB and elsewhere who were championing Trump in the campaign the silence about his time in office now is telling. But again, and you know I am sincere in this, i do welcome your views here.

I never said I supported Donald Trump for using that language towards women. I have no idea why you would think I did. I commented about that one sentence in your post because that is the one I found offensive. I read on your facebook where you were commenting to some guy about if he had kids, there would be no slandering of another person for how they looked etc. Then I read where you did that very thing.

As far as the rest of your post…I have NO idea why SHS didn’t answer 3 times. I’ve seen press secretaries and politicians alike…when they don’t want to answer, they won’t. No matter how persistent or often they are asked the same question (in different ways), they either avoid it or answer something else.
