President Bush Could Never Handle Columbia University Crowd

Whenever President Bush travels he makes sure that he has an audience of very safe faces to talk with.  It seems since we invaded a Middle Eastern nation that Bush likes to have a crowd of friendly military types who never question as his backdrop.  But after watching and reading the news about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran, facing the folks at Columbia University, I am quite certain that our President would not be able to answer questions and feel the heat in the same fashion. We have seen Bush talk and swagger, and he would never get away with his stock responses from the university students at Columbia.   But wouldn’t it be nice if Bush were able to go to a mixed audience and talk with those he disagrees with.  If Ahmadinejad can do it, why can’t Bush?

President Bush may pretend to a part of Texas, but he has no grit to face the American public.  Hiding behind the military faces when he speaks in highly controlled settings is really quite funny after watching Ahmadinejad face the people at Columbia.

  1. notalib

As if they would ever invite the president and of they did they would have the same reaction when Rumsfeild was invited. They are not interested in free speech there they only want people who think like they do so I guess that explains why squinty eyes was invited, since he hates Bush and the administration also.

  2. Oh okay, how come I haven’t seen John Edwards, Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama in other than “Friendly Politically Correct” crowds lately where we get little more than “Boxers or Briefs” type of questions.

    Party at Oprah’s Tonight…

  3. Awwww…..Bush is the President of the nation and not a candidate. He is the ‘leader’ while the nation is at war. Tony Blair (all British PM) have question time and take the heat. Bush is not up to it. I only made the point. Like or hate the President of Iran, he did something that Bush can’t do.
