New York GOP Gov. Candidate Carl Paladino Displays Stunning Homophobia

So many reasons that New Yorker’s will defeat teabagger Carl Paladino in November.  I am already working on some early predictions, and this race is so over.  Lets face it, Carl Paladino never even got started before he was finished.  And that was well before this latest political blunder and heartless rhetoric

Most folks, even if they do not live in New York, are mindful of the savage events that took place there this week.  Vile anti-gay bashing that was horrific.  The victim was burned and whipped.  So to have this nasty little teabagger who plays Catholic with the wafers in church  for the camera, but has knocked up women who bore his children out-of-wedlock, then stand up and tell the gay citizens of New York they have no value is absolute horse rot.

It is just down right stupid to listen to his comments and think that even the conservatives in the state think that children are being “brainwashed” into believing they are gay.  Really?  Are you sure Paladino?  Where do you come up with this stuff?

I am not sure if this creep of a candidate reads The New York Times or not, but if he did he would know that a recent poll in that state put those in favor of gay marriage at 58%.  I know that Paladino is talking out his butt, and to the wrong crowd.

When his defeat is announced on Election Night the hand clap you will hear will be mine.

I just think my children and your children would be much better off and much more successful getting married and raising a family, and I don’t want them brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option — it isn’t,” he said, reading from a prepared address, according to a video of the event.

And then, to applause at Congregation Shaarei Chaim, he said: “I didn’t march in the gay parade this year — the gay pride parade this year. My opponent did, and that’s not the example we should be showing our children.” Newsday.com reported that Mr. Paladino’s prepared text had included the sentence: “There is nothing to be proud of in being a dysfunctional homosexual.” But Mr. Paladino omitted the sentence in his speech.

About an hour after Mr. Paladino’s remarks, Mr. Cuomo’s campaign released a statement condemning them.

“Mr. Paladino’s statement displays a stunning homophobia and a glaring disregard for basic equality,” it said. “These comments along with other views he has espoused make it clear that he is way out of the mainstream and is unfit to represent New York.”Mr. Paladino declined a request to be interviewed after his appearance. His campaign manager, Michael R. Caputo, denied assertions that Mr. Paladino was antigay, and noted that he employed a gay man on his campaign staff.
